Owens, Catherine POESTENKILL Catherine Owens, 92, of Poestenkill, formerly of Albany, died February 5, 2008 at Van Rensselaer Manor. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Michael Bernadisus and Anna Dabra-valskas and the wife of the late Thomas J. Owens Jr. Wher-ever Catherine lived, she blessed the world with love and flowers. Catherine's love for her family will be with them forever. She is survived by three daughters, Sandra Lindoerfer (Terry) of Pasadena, Calif., Janice Stroman of N.Y. and Ariz. and Kathryn McCabe (Richard) of Albany; four grandchildren, Jennifer Stroman, Kathryn Jersen (Ken), Thomas Dennison, and Bridget McCabe; four great-grand-children, Alexandra Stroman, Jenna Jersen, Dylan Stroman, and Paige Jersen; a sister, Agnes Pearsall; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Pauline Ryan, Bernice Stankus and Joseph Bernadisus; and by a niece, Christina Stankus. The family wishes to thank the staff of Van Rensselaer Manor, especially the staff of B3 for their kind and loving care of Catherine. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Friday from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. A service will be held at the funeral home at 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Catherine Owens' memory may be made to the Van Rensselaer Manor Activities Fund, 85 Bloomingrove Drive, Troy, NY 12180.
