Catherine Mack-Jennings, 81, made her earthly exit Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008, at 1:30 p.m. at Bay Medical Center in Panama City, Fla. A native of Two Egg, Fla., she was born Oct. 6, 1926. She was a dedicated employee of the Bay County School Board for 26 years at Oscar Patterson Elementary School. She is survived by eight daughters, Della Pearl Johnson of Springfield, Fla., Costella (Ezekiel) Jones of Xenia, Ohio, Little Askew of Panama City, Fla., Luvenia (Jim) McNair, Helen (Howard Steele) Page of Lynn Haven, Fla., Delorise E. Page of Tallahassee, Fla., Linda (Ulyssee) Williams and Kay (Bernard) Smith of Grayson, Ga.; two sisters, Irene (Paul) Gilbert of Springfield, Ohio, and Claudia (Walter) Harmon of Anchorage, Alaska; sisters-in-law, Susie, Eula Mae, Mary Lee and Helen Mack; 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives; and dear friend and longtime companion, Willie L. Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Lee Jennings Sr.; son, Jimmie Jr.; parents, Robert Allen and Levy Hartsfield-Mack; a grandmother who raised her, Susie Jennings-Hartsfield; brothers, David Mack, Benjamin Mack, Freddie Lee Mack and Emanuel Mack; a granddaughter; a great-granddaughter; and a great-great-grandson. A viewing and reflections of her life ceremony will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Feb. 15, 2008, at the Battle Memorial Funeral Home chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008, at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 1021 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Panama City, Fla.
