GRIFFIN Carolyn Joanne Griffin went home to be with the Lord, on December 21, 2009. She was a member of the Holy Church of The Living God, Inc. She attended the local schools and graduated from Edward Waters College and Florida A&M University. She taught in the Duval County Public School System for over 15 years. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, the late Mrs. Annie Mae Ricks Griffin and Mr. James C. Griffin, Sr. She leaves to cherish her memory: sister, Geraldine, brothers, William H. (Velda) Griffin, Sr. and James C. Griffin, Jr., Aunt, Mrs. Diane Tapley, a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. Homegoing Services will be held at her church, on Thursday, December 31, 2009 at 11:00am. The church is located 1598 West 14th Street. The family will assemble at 624 Iva Place at 10:00am. Public Viewing will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm and in the church Thursday from 10:00am until the hour of service. Interment in Restlawn Cemetery.
