CAROL J. FIFIELD DEMOTTE, IN Carol J. Fifield, age 72, of Demotte, IN, passed away March 9, 2008 at St. Anthony Medical Center in Crown Point. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Melanie; and Ed Fifield. On August 17, 1935, Carol was born to Waverly F. and Mary E. (nee McNeil) Porter in Medaryville. Carol graduated from high school. She was employed at Hunt Wesson/Con Agra as a shipping clerk. In December, 1954, Carol married Ed Fifield. To this union were born three daughters: Kristi (Dick) Leach, Beth and John Tyler and the late Melanie Allen. Also surviving are six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one brother, Kenneth (Dot) Porter; and one sister, Janet Zimpleman. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Friday, March 14, 2008 from 2:00-7:00 p.m. at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove Street, Wheatfield, IN. Services for Carol will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 14, 2008 at the Boersma Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Bulthuis officiating. Per Carol's wishes, cremation will follow.
