<!-- DisplayFullObituaryText -->Carl Oneil Williams LEXINGTON - Carl Oneil Williams, 69, of Lexington, SC, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at his home. Mr. Williams was born October 29, 1945, in Greensboro, NC, to the late Carl Willie Williams and Mary Louise (Hester) Williams. Neil was a quiet and patient man. A friend to all, he was slow to judgment and deliberate in his decisions. Neil enjoyed being outside. He liked camping, hunting and fishing with the "three amigos" aka the old codgers, and working on his famous tan. Neil also did not miss an opportunity to join his brothers' playing cards. Mr. Williams loved his family. Neil looked forward to Christmas, Thanksgiving, birthdays or any time the family would gather. He treasured the times spent with his family every year in the mountains. Neil is survived by a son; Benjamin Williams (Linda) of Lexington, SC, a daughter, Joye Williams Taylor (Larry) of Gilbert, SC, and five grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his brothers, Jerry Williams (Mary) of Lexington SC, Mike Williams (Mary) of Lexington SC, Rick Williams (Linda) of Cramerton NC, Marvin Williams, (Vicki) of Lexington, SC, and Kenny Williams (Tana) of Lexington SC. Mr. Williams was predeceased by his soul mate and loving wife of 42 years, Shelia Dianne Williams, and his brother, Larry Williams. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 21, 2014, at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, SC, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC 29073. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Boiling Springs United Methodist Church, 2373 Calks Ferry Road, Lexington, SC 29073 with the Reverend Phil Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Boiling Springs United Methodist Church, 2373 Calks Ferry Road, Lexington, SC 29073, or at the website http://www.boilingspringsumc.com.
