Bettye Johnson Davis Bettye Johnson Davis, 71, who had worked for Gayfer's department store in retail sales, died Tuesday, March 24, 2009, in Tallahassee, Fla. The memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 26, at Strong & Jones Funeral Home Chapel (850-229-2139). Survivors include two sons, Alfrazier Davis Jr. of Albuquerque, N.M., and Michael D. Davis of Tallahassee; an adopted son, Kenneth Lamar Preston of Tallahassee; nieces, Joyce Cooper of Chicago, Ill., and Patricia McClellan of Gainesville, Fla.; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
