<!-- FH = Harwood Home for Funerals, Inc. -->Elizabeth "Betty" Burgin QuinnBlack Mountain - Betty Quinn, 82, of Black Mountain passed away Thursday, August 4, 2011.Mrs. Quinn was born September 24, 1928 in McDowell County and was a resident of Buncombe County most of her life. She was a charter member of Kerlee Heights Baptist Church where she played the organ and piano for over 60 years. Betty was a member of the Black Mountain Eastern Star for 45 years and volunteered at the Kiwanis Thrift Store.She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Thelma Hogan Burgin; husband, Joe Quinn; daughter, Joan Jarvis and brother, Stanley Burgin.Betty is survived by her daughter, Sharon Cooper and husband, JL of Old Fort; son, Chester Quinn and wife, Janice of Black Mountain; sister-in-law, Barbara Burgin of Swannanoa; 10 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and five great great-grandchildren.A Celebration of Life service will be held Sunday, August 7, 2011 at 2:00 pm in Kerlee Heights Baptist Church with the Reverend Kenneth Rhinehart officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff of the John F.
