She was born in Waland, KY to the late Marion Layne and Dallis Layne Crisp. Betty was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe Thomas Owens and her brother, Billy Crisp. Mrs. Owens attended Bethlehem United Methodist Church. She dedicated her life to raising and caring for children, both generations of her own and those of friends. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 8th at 2 p.m., at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Rev. Jamie Mandrell officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Friday, February 7th from 4 to 8 p.m., and on Saturday from 12 Noon until the hour of service at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be grandsons and sons-in-law. Betty is survived by her son, Ricky (Sandy) Owens of Lake Mary, FL; three daughters, Clara (Anthony) Patterson, Debra (Gary) Puskas and Patty (Vernon) Jarrett, all of Clarksville; sister, Ann (Martin) Combs of Greenfield, IN; eight grandchildren, Chase Smith, Jeremy Puskas, Brittney (Brian) Spence, Jenna (Cass) Bongard, Hunter Jarrett, Kaylon Jarrett, Marlee Jarrett, Eric Owens; step grandson, Anthony (Misty) Patterson, Jr.; four great- grandchildren, Sasha Puskas, Owen Smith, EllaChase Spence and Jarrett Spence; and three step great-grandchildren, Cody Oliver, Tayea Spence and Anthony Patterson III.
