Betty L. King "Betty Crocker King" CANANDAIGUA - Betty King, 88, passed away peacefully on Dec. 9, 2010, after a brief illness, with her family by her side. Betty was born in Jersey Shore, Pa. on Aug. 31, 1922 to the late Bruce and Barbara Kissel. She is survived by her daughters, Cat King (Micheal) of Middlesex and Robin (Eric) Blakesley of Bristol; grandchildren, Barbara (Nick) Hosking, Beth King (Alan) and Richard (Michelle) Fry; great-grandchildren; and son-in-law, Micheal Fry, all of England; sister, Martha; brother, William; niece, Ona Stanley; nephew, Robert Gay; great-nephews; and many, many friends. She was predeceased by her son, Richard, in 1970; and daughter-in-law, Cathy Fry. Among her many hobbies, she was most known for her culinary skills. Anyone who knew her, from her doctor to her mechanic, friends or family, were lucky to be treated to her delightful food. Friends may call Tuesday, December 14, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Fuller Funeral Home Inc., 190 Buffalo St., Canandaigua. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 15, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to M.A.D.D., 2125 Buffalo Road, Rochester NY 14624; or Lupus Foundation, 2000 L. Street NW, Suite 710, Washington, D.C. 20036.
