Graveside services for Bertha Emma Faye Davis, 79, will be Monday, March 7, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Larry Gardner officiating, K. L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jacksonville directing services. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:45 until 1:45 p.m. Monday. Mrs. Davis died Thursday, March 4, 2011, at her home. She is survived by two daughters, Gloria Ann Bedgood, of Jacksonville and Cheryl Leichliter, of Lake Charles, La.; a sister, Jewel Ollie Centers, of Waycross, Ga.; Three grandchildren, Pam Faye Austin, Maggie Leichliter and Mike Austin; five great-grandchildren, Samantha Bedgood, Zachary Barker, Josiah Austin, Amber Austin and Deanna Austin. Mrs. Davis worked for many years with Catholic Charities and delivered The Anniston Star for 10 years. She loved children and she and her husband were foster parents for 32 foster children.
