MOON THOMAS, Barbara - At Belleville General Hospital on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 following a brief illness, Barbara Moon Thomas, of Picton, Ontario. A native of St. Catharines, Barbara graduated from the University of Toronto (Trinity College) and subsequently pursued a long and distinguished career in magazine and book writing, and editing and as a writer of major television documentaries. She is survived by her husband, Wynne Thomas; her sister, Mrs. Alice Murray of Carleton Place; and nephews Graham Murray of Arnprior, and Scott Murray of North Bay. A private funeral will be preceded by a visitation at the Whattam Funeral Home, 33 Main Street, Picton on Sunday, April 19 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. A celbration of Barbara's life will be held in Picton at a later date.
