BARBARA ANNE St. LAURENT September 17, 1942- March 22, 2004 Barbara Anne St. Laurent (Johnson) passed away peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital on March 22, 2004 after a lengthy illness she joins her mother Ruth, father Robert Johnson and brothers, Steven and Barry in Heaven. She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years Gerald; their children, Angela (Ron), Bob (Maureen), Paul, Peter (Leah); grandchildren, Colton, Kyle, Stacy-Lynne, Kevin, Jaylene, Genevieve, Justin and Cayden; her brothers, Phil, John and Tony; and sister Pat; many nieces and nephews and her good friend Elaine Gray. Barbara was born on September 17, 1942 in Winnipeg. She will be remembered by those who loved her as a woman with an incredible zest for life and was admired for her strength till the end. She was always thinking of her family. Barbara will deeply be missed by all those whose lives she touched. Barbara spent a lot of time in the community; She coached and umpired softball at Chalmers Community Centre. She has overcome so many obstacles over the last little while and with all her pain and suffering she always had a smile. We love you mom and we will miss you dearly, we know now that you are with God now, because you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. We would like to thank all the staff at Home care for all their support and kindness while mom was able to be at home. A big thanks to the St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Unit for all their support and kindness, for making moms last days as comfortable as possible. Pallbearers are Barbara's nieces Terri, Leslie, Tara, Joanne, Christina and Lauren. Viewing will be held in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home 220 Hespeler Ave. on Friday, March 26 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 27 at St. Gerard Parish at 10:00 a.m., with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers the family would ask for donations to the Manitoba Lung Association 629 McDermot, Winnipeg R3A 1P6.
