->Anna M. HigginsBeacon - Anna M. Higgins of Beacon/Fishkill area entered into eternal rest escorted by the Angels on Friday May 16, 2014 at Elant at Fishkill.Anna was born on April 29, 1920 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Mary and John Letunik. She was a retired department store manager and a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She had been a member of St. Mary's Church in Fishkill and St. Columba Church in Hopewell Junction. On November 10, 1945, she married the late John (Jack) Higgins in Brooklyn, NY. Anna and her loving partner in life enjoyed dancing and the country life. She was especially fond of wildlife and animals in general. She also learned how to fish and loved summer vacations on Lake Champlain. A loving mother and a great cook could knock out a great lasagna or stuffed cabbage, Hungarian style. She also loved to bake and create desserts. Anna is survived by her son John F. Higgins and Jo-Ann Reynolds, Granddaughters Gina and Marty Smith. Great Grand Children Nathaniel, Nicole Reynolds and Veronica Reynolds.Calling hours will be held on Tuesday May 20th 2014 from 4-8pm at Robert H. Auchmoody Funeral Home 1028 Main Street, Fishkill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday May 21, 2014 at 10am at St. Columba Church 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. Burial will follow at St. Joachim's (New) Cemetery, Beacon.
