JONES Ann Ruth, 73, of Ridgewood, departed this life on December 10, 2013 at the Valley Hospital. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Lloyd Jones and daughter Joann Jones. She is survived by three grandchildren. Born in Edgefield, SC on September 15, 1940, she was the only child of the late Albert and Bernie Williamson. At the age of 3 months, her parents migrated to NY where she attended school. She obtained her nursing degree in Manhattan NY, and began a nursing career at the age of 21, working at Madison Ave Hospital and Hebrew Lebanon Hospital until she moved to NJ in 1970. She then worked at Eastern Christian Retreat , and the Allendale Nursing Home, until a car accident in 1976 when she was unable to continue in nursing. She then continued her education at Bergen Community College in Paramus, NJ, where she specialized as a personal computer specialist. At this point Ann began her 21 year career at Paid Prescription. Due to multiple illness', she had to retire from Paid Prescription. After her retirement Ann still continued to work at Rite Aid in Ridgewood, where she stayed until illness struck again. At this time she began to attend the Bergen Senior Center in Midland Park NJ, where she was loved and well known for her boundless energy and enthusiasm for life. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Friday, December 13, 2013, from 10 AM-12 PM, at the C.C. VanEmburgh Funeral Home in Ridgewood, NJ. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home chapel starting at 12:00 with burial to follow at the Valleau Cemetery in Ridgewood.
