Carroll, Andrew RENSSELAER Andrew James Carroll, 21, beloved son of Douglas and Patricia Carroll of Defreestville, died suddenly Friday, August 12, 2011 at home. Andrew was born in Niskayuna and was a resident of the Capital Region all of his life. Andrew was entering his senior year at Siena College. Andrew was a graduate of Columbia High School, class of 2008, where he played football and lacrosse. He also played hockey for TAYHA the Albany Capitals, Troy Rivermen and Siena's Club team. Andrew will be remembered for his kind compassionate nature, loyalty to his friends, his sense of humor and his fun loving personality. Andrew enjoyed many summers spent at the family lake house, swimming, boating and going off the famous rope swing on Crooked Lake. Predeceased by his grandparents, James and Georgia Carroll and Lawrence and Grace Kelly. In addition to his parents, Andrew is survived by his two sisters, Emily and Meghan Carroll. He is also survived by his uncles, Jay Carroll and Larry Kelly and his aunts, Kris Carroll, Karen Thierry and Cathy Bellisario and their families. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday from Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home, Inc. 165 Columbia Turnpike, Rensselaer, N.Y. Friends are invited to his calling hours 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Light a condolence candle at www.wjrockefeller.com.
