YORK, Vera Mae(nee Fleming)Veteran WRENAugust 29, 1924 - January 16, 2015It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our wonderful Mother. Predeceased by her beloved husband Jim, granddaughter Elizabeth, sisters Jean and Erica. Dear friend and companion of Rene Brixhe. Will be dearly missed by her children Jay (June), Nancy (Dave) and Elizabeth (Michael). Sisters Shirley, Betty, Lorna, Beverly and brother Trenholm. Grandchildren James, Bill (Stephanie), Steve and Jeff. Very dear and special friend of Nancy Laws-Lepage. Our mother, or Miss Vera to many, was an amazing person. She would insist we all live our lives to the fullest because you never know when it will be the last time you will be able to do something. We are all blessed to have had her touch our lives. Special thank-you to Kathy Fyke and the wonderful staff at CCAC and the Reverend Brian Cornelius. There will be a private family burial and a Celebration of Vera's life will be held in the Spring. We are all better people for having had Vera in our lives. We will miss her dearly.
