Sandra "Sandy" Johnson 1940-2012 WEST DOVER Sandra (Sandy) Johnson, 71, of West Dover, Vermont, died Thursday, March 22, 2012, at home surrounded by her beloved children and grandchildren following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born August 18, 1940, the daughter of the late Halbert and Gertrude Bartlett. Mrs. Johnson graduated from Wilmington High School and married her husband of almost 50 years, Charles Johnson, on June 14, 1958. They lived in Leominster, Mass., Wilmington and Jacksonville, Vt., before becoming residents of West Dover for the rest of their lives. She worked as a food service manager at Mount Snow and Classic Foods of Greenfield and most recently was employed by Sugar Tours. She had belonged to the Dover Ladies Aid Society, the W. Dover Fire Dept Ladies Auxiliary, and the Parent Teachers Club at the Dover school. She enjoyed candlepin bowling, reading, crossword puzzles, gardening, kayaking and was her children's and grandchildren?s biggest fan at their sporting activities. She cherished the moments spent with her family. She is survived by her son Randall Johnson and wife, Robin, of W. Dover, and their children, Bobby Roy and wife, Samantha, Dylan and Teya Johnson, and great-grandson, Isaiah Roy; daughter, Monica Crawford, of Wilmington, and her children Sierra Fiata, Kylie-blu and Bryer-lyn Crawford, and was Gigi to her great-granddaughter, Lyllian Fiata; son Bradley Johnson and wife, Beth, of Hopkinton, Mass., and their children, Emily, Daniel, and Caroline; her sisters, Irene Sherman of East Dover, Carrie Wheeler of Wilmington, Julie Fox of Jacksonville, and Terry Brissette of Mims, Fla.; her brothers, Reginald Bartlett of Wilmington and James Bartlett of Patten, Maine; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, her son, Anthony (Tony) Johnson, and older brother Howard Bartlett. Services will be held Monday, March 26 at 2 p.m. at the West Dover Congregational Church. Burial will follow in the Sadawga Cemetery in Whitingham. Friends may call at the COVEY & ALLEN FUNERAL HOME on Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. when the family will be present.
