HURLEY Robert P. Hurley age 86 of Manchester formerly of Main St., Stratford passed away Wednesday March 7, 2012 in Manchester Memorial Hospital. Born in Bridgeport November 18, 1925 son of the late John A and Marguerite Hurley Robert resided in Stratford most of his life until moving to Manchester. He was a veteran of WW II serving in the US Army Air Corps. He retired from The State of Connecticut as Director of Professional Licensing Dept. He was a member of the Stratford Democratic Party and was a instructor, teaching Realtor Licensing Classes as well as a licensed realtor. He was also a member of the Stratford Old Timers. Survivors include his children Mary Hurly of Southbury, Maureen Mendillo of Derby, Robert P. Hurley and Kathryn of Milford, Thomas Hurley and Laura of Seymour and Beth Hurley and Eric Trent of Torrington, eight grandchildren Sean, Connor, Jennifer, Stephanie, Rebecca Hurley, Jeffrey and Tom Mendillo and Albert Keiser III and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife Theresa Janovich Hurley his devoted friend Celia Barniak, two sisters Kathleen and Edith, five brothers Jack, Larry, Fred, Thomas and Dick. Friends are invited to attend his funeral on Saturday March 10 1012 at 10:30 am meeting at St. James Church, 2110 Main St. Stratford. Interment in Riverside Cemetery, Shelton. Visitation will be Friday March 9 from 4 to 7 PM in the William R. Mc Donald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St, Stratford.
