CRESCENT CITY - Richard Millard "Rusty" Parker, 60, a teacher and coach for Volusia County Schools from 1968 to 2003, died Wednesday at home. Mr. Parker was born in Daytona Beach, and was a lifelong Volusia County resident. He recently moved to Crescent City from DeLand. He was a graduate of Mainland High School, where he was a formerly played basketball, baseball and football and the University of Miami where he played for the Miami Hurricanes Basketball team. He enjoyed playing golf. Survivors include two sons, James, Deltona, and Jason, Gainesville; a brother, Clint, Port Orange; and a sister, Marsha Parker, Lawty. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1620 S. Clyde Morris Blvd., Suite 300, Daytona Beach, FL 32119. Hannah Cremation, Holly Hill, is in charge.
