ROCHESTER HILLS, MI - Mary R. La Fleur, 97, formerly of Springfield, died Tuesday May 31, 2005 in a Rochester Hills, MI nursing home. Born in West Springfield, she lived most of her life in Springfield. Mary was the office manager of her late husband's business, La Fleur Machinery Sales, Co. She was a communicant of Holy Cross Church. Mary was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, G. Walter "Laffy" La Fleur; her daughter, Rita M. Denver; and her sister, Katherine M. "Kassie" Cunningham. She is survived by two daughters, Claire J. Nunez of Rochester Hills, MI and Lois A. La Fleur of O'Fallon, IL; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held on Monday June 6th at 9am in the Hafey Springfield Chapels, 494 Belmont Ave., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10am in Holy Cross Church. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday from 4-8pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Elk's Scholarship Fund, 440 Tiffany St., Springfield, MA 01108.
