MACPHEE Mary, passed away peacefully at the Chemainus Health Care Centre, Chemainus, BC, July 6, 2002. Born in Louisburg, Nova Scotia on January 7, 1912, she was a long time resident of Truro, Nova Scotia before moving to Victoria, BC in 1978. Predeceased by her husband, Fred at Normandy, France, in 1944 while serving with the North Nova Scotia Highlanders. Mary is survived by sons, Bernie, New Westminster, BC, Ray (Elaine), Shawville, Quebec and daughter, Ann Hamilton, (Aubrey), Duncan, BC; sister, Agnes MacNeil, Bobcaygeon, On.; brother-in-law, Bill Dicks, Bobcaygeon, On; as well as eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. To the staff of the Chemainus Health Care Centre there are not sufficient words to express our appreciation for your wonderful care of 'Mom' during these past few years. We extend our thanks and appreciation as well to Dr. Pettapiece for his always kind and dedicated care. A private memorial will be held at a later date.
