Arnoldsville - Martha Elizabeth Williams, 81, died July 3, 2004.A native of Jackson County, she was a daughter of the late Grace Edna Nabers and Hoyt Brown Barnett. Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by a brother, Charlie R. Barnett, and was the widow of Emory D. Williams. She was a retired seamstress.Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 6, 2004, at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, East. Rev. Buford Lockman will officiate. Interment will be in Athens Memory Gardens.Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary W. (Sim) Ogletree of Bishop and Carolyn W. (Guy) Lowe of Arnoldsville; son and daughter-in-law, Emory Dean (Patricia) Williams Jr., of Lexington; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.Pallbearers will be grandsons: Timothy Lowe, Travis Lowe, Randy Williams, Cary Williams, Chad Williams, Michael Ogletree, and Edd Iler.The family will receive friends today from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.Lord and Stephens, East, is in charge of arrangements.Please sign our Obituary Guest Book at www.onlineathens.com.Athens Banner-Herald, July 5, 2004
