Louise D. Nadeau1919 - 2014AUGUSTA - Louise D. Nadeau - age 95, formerly of the Burns Road, died on Dec. 28, 2014, at Augusta Center for Health and Rehabilitation after a lengthy illness. She was born in Augusta on Sept. 5, 1919, the daughter of Joseph Drouin and Marion (Breton) Drouin. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Nadeau was employed by Bates Manufacturing Co. for many years. She was previously employed by Hazzard Shoe Co. for several years. Mrs. Nadeau also raised several foster children. She was a member of St. Michael Parish at St. Augustine Catholic Church.Her husband, Leo Nadeau, predeceased her on May 21, 2003. She was also preceded in death by four brothers Albert, Leo, Arthur and Emile Drouin, and six sisters Florence Chase, Joan Tuttle, Cecile Cameron, Beatrice Roy, Vivian Karlsson and Ruth Pinkham.Surviving are two sons Leo Nadeau, Jr. and Norman Nadeau, both of Augusta, one daughter, Jeannine Nelson of Palermo; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.Friends may visit from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 30, at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Northern Avenue, Augusta. Spring burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery, Augusta.
