Kathie K. Williams - SAVANNAH - Kathie Keel Williams, 58, of Savannah, Georgia, wife of Andrew Jackson "Jackie" Williams, died Saturday morning, January 19, 2008, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. Born to Doc and Catherine Keel on October 2, 1949. She attended Jenkins, Windsor and graduated from Chatham Christian in Savannah. She married Jack on October 21, 1972. Kathie worked with Memorial Health University Medical Center in various positions and assisted her husband in rental management and as a building contractor. She was a former Georgia real estate agent. Kathie was a charter member of Grace Primitive Baptist Church and attended other churches in Savannah. She was a member of the Benevolent Order of Elks Lodge #183, having served as tiler. Kathie loved her family very much and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. She enjoyed golf and loved to dance. Kathie also loved her animals, especially her Chihuahuas. Kathie loved her friends and always wanted to be with them as much as time would allow. She is preceded in death by her father, G. C. "Doc" Keel and her mother, Catherine J. Keel. In addition to her father and mother, she was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Kelly Kathryn Williams, and her niece and nephews, Lynn, Jamie, and Bobby Lee, Jr. Surviving are her husband, Jack; her daughter, Amber Williams; her son, Cody; two step-sons, Trey Williams of Savannah and Kevin Williams of Los Angeles; grandchildren, Chelsea Williams and Bailey Teston; brothers, Datus and Bobby Keel; sisters, Carolyn Reed and her husband, Bobby, Jeanne Keel and her husband, John Russom, and Debbie Keel Cannon; her brother-in-law, Fred Williams, Jr. and his wife, Janice, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family will receive friends from 3 until 5 o'clock Sunday afternoon at Gamble Funeral Service, 410 Stephenson Avenue. Funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Monday morning in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend William G. Hester. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Kathie said, "Do not grieve for me. I love the Lord and when he decides it is time for me to leave, I will be ready."
