Jan Richard Barnes May 25, 2010 Jan Richard Barnes, 55, died suddenly of a heart attack on Tuesday, May 25. Jan was a resident of Salt Lake City, Utah, formerly of Cicero. Jan worked many years in the construction field. Jan was predeceased by his father, Bill Barnes of Cicero, in 2001. Jan was an Air Force veteran. Jan is survived by his mother, Virginia Barnes of Michigan, formerly of Cicero; two sisters, Colleen (Walt) Brand of Clay and Margaret of Syracuse; a nephew, Jeremy (Darcey) Brand of Constantia; a niece, Jessica Brand of Clay; a great-nephew, Zachary Brand; and great-nieces Zoe and Zaylee Brand of Constantia. In 1973, I lost my friend so close to me. I always asked why I didn't die because I felt it should have been me. You see, I lived each day waiting for the end, knowing it was then I'd "forever" be again with my friend. In memory of Kenny Kane, "The Walrus." Funeral services will be private.
