Funeral service for Helen L. Harvey, 98, North Syracuse, N.Y., who died Thursday, May 18, 2006, at Sunnyside Care Center, East Syracuse, N.Y., will be 8:30 a.m. Thursday, May 25, at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, Port Orange, with the Rev. Raymond O'Leary celebrating. Family will receive friends today (Wednesday) at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m., when there will be a Vigil Service with Deacon Tom Tagye. Born July 16, 1907, in New York City, she married Earle W. Harvey on Sept. 2, 1933, and spent the next 60 years with her loving husband. They enjoyed golfing, bowling and playing bridge together. She worked as a secretary for G.E. for many years and retired to the Daytona Beach area in 1963. Helen is survived by her sister-in-law, Alma LaNigra; and many nieces and nephews.
