NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Mr. Harry Edward Gaudette, 54, of River St. North Adams, Mass. died Thursday afternoon, July 17, 2003 at his home.He was born in Germany on Jan. 4, 1949, a son of the late Edward F. Gaudette and Eva M. (Frentzel) Gaudette. He moved to Bennington, Vt. at an early age and later settled in North Adams. He attended schools in North Adams including the former St. Joseph’s High School.Mr. Gaudette was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict and served for two tours in the U.S. Army.Following his military service, he was employed as a laborer for several area construction firms.He enjoyed fishing and NASCAR racing.Survivors include one daughter, Sonia Gaudette of New Hampshire; one son, Matthew Drumheiser of Pennsylvania; two grandchildren; one sister Andrea Gillooly of North Adams with whom he made his home; three brothers Clifford Gaudette of Pownal, Vt., Michael Gaudette of St. Petersburg, Fla., Frank Gaudette of Bennington; nieces and nephews.A memorial liturgy of Christian burial for Harry E. Gaudette will be celebrated Wednesday morning July 23, 2003 at 11 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church in North Adams. Burial will be at a later date at the convenience of the family.
