<!-- FH = Murray Funeral Home, Bolivar -->Gene Carl Williams, 81, Bolivar, died Thursday, December 9, 2010 after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. The son of Alvie and Inez Patterson Williams, he was born in Jasper, Missouri December 5, 1929. On August 26, 1956, he and Mary Brumback were married. They had lived in this area since the late 1960's. Following graduation from high school, Gene enlisted in the U. S. Navy serving four years. He was a retired cattle rancher and a member of Howard S. Keeling American Legion Post #138. His favorite hobby was crappie fishing. Gene is survived by his wife, Mary, of the home; two children, Carla Robbins and husband, David, Springfield, and Roy Williams and wife, Kerry, Springfield; and two grandchildren, Courtney Williams and Autumn Williams. At his request no services will be held. Inurnment will be in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield under the direction of Murray Funeral Home, Bolivar.
