ALLISON - Frank Harold Frank Harold Allison passed away on February 5th, at Louis Brier Seniors Facility. Frank was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, on April 4th, 1920. He was a very gifted musician and entertainer. He served in World War II, and he entertained the troops in the Korean War. He teamed up with Larry Adler during his tour in Korea. After that, he moved to Vancouver, where he met his life companion, Basil Hunter. He worked with the Basil Hunter trio for nine years at the Press Club, where he was well known for his performance of "Mack the Knife" during the 1960's. Frank played the piano, and the guitar. He was a great singer and could always humour people with his witty one liners. Frank loved animals and nature. He was especially fond of horses. He loved working in the garden, and was always aware of the beauty around him. Frank is survived by his life companion and partner, Basil J. Hunter. He will be sadly missed by many.
