HORTON Evelyn Jean Horton, 81, beloved mother and grandmother, went home to the Lord on Saturday, December 15, 2012 after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born on July 19, 1931, in Detroit, Michigan. She was a resident of Maud, Texas and very active in community services as well as a member of First Baptist Church Maud. In 1985, she started the Maud Public Library. In 2003 she moved to Jacksonville and became a member of Park City Baptist Church. She is survived by daughters Cande Breaux, Dorothy Edwards and Brenda Becker and son Blake York; grandchildren Megan Breaux, Andrew Breaux, Justin Brinkley, and others. Memorial services will be held Friday, December 21st at 3pm at Park City Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Hardage-Giddens Blanding Blvd Chapel 5753 Blanding Blvd Jacksonville, Florida.
