He was a honorable discharge Veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, a member of St. Benedict The Moor Catholic Church, former employee of Amtrak Railroad as a Chef, a Longshoreman, Local 1414 and proprietor of Dixie Lunchroom. Survivors: sister, Marguerite Branch of New York City; nieces, Betty M. Williams, Rose Lee Williams both of Savannah, Esther Mincey of New York City; nephews, Harold Williams of Savannah, Harrison Branch of Corvallis, OR; a special cousin, Iona Simmons of Savannah; several grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
