TOLEDO, OH-- Dorothy Dottie Williams, 80, of Toledo, lost her battle with cancer on January 20, 2006. She passed away at home surrounded by her loving family.Dorothy was born and raised in South Carolina, where she met and married her husband Bill Williams on March 13, 1943. In 1962 they moved to Toledo. She was affectionately known as Dottie to her friends and co-workers. Dorothy had worked at Ace Hardware as a Material Handler at the Distribution Center for over 20 years, retiring in 1992. She loved to travel, often taking trips and collecting antiques.Dorothy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bill Williams; and her parents, John and Ada Williams. She is survived by her son, Terry Williams; daughter, Connie (Ron) Myers; grandchildren, Christina (Myers) Heinemann and Scott (Kim) Myers; brothers, James Williams, of Clinton, SC, Lewis and Johnny Williams, of Chattanooga, TN, Jerry Williams, of Spartanburg, SC; sisters, Mavis Williams, of Chattanooga, TN, Jan Walker and Gladys Poole, of Spartanburg, SC; brother-in-law and sister in-law, Ralph and Betty Johnson, of Inman, SC; her devoted and long-time friend, John Wiesolek; and her many friends from Ace Hardware.The family will receive guests on Tuesday, January 24, 2006 in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Road, Toledo (419-473-0300) from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Rev. Mark C. Bigley will be officiating.
