Catherine Walker, who was born in Ireland on July 16, 1911, went to be with the Lord on May 18, 2011, two months shy of her 100th birthday. She was loved by all who knew her; a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was predeceased by her husband, David Walker; and is survived by three children, MaryAnn Kemp (Glenn), Bob Walker (Cindy) and David Walker (Loretta); 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Francis Walker; and many nieces and nephews in England and Ireland. David and Catherine were residents of Floral City in Citrus County, Florida, for 20 years before moving to Tampa in 1998. She passed away in Tampa under the loving care of Shady Palms Retirement Home and the Hospice Teal Team aided by our angel, Gloria Keel. A Celebration of Life Service was held Friday, May 27, at Northwest Tampa Church of God, 5131 Gunn Highway Tampa, FL 33624. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Heart of Florida Youth ranch c/o above address.
