Smith, Carol A. GLENVILLE Carol A. Smith, 74, of Glenville, passed into eternal life on Thursday, June 4, 2009 at her residence. Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Mary Hamel Smith Sr. Carol worked as a radiologic technician for many years. She was the first woman to be assigned to do special radiologic procedures at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Md. Carol was an avid bird watcher and loved animals. Carol is survived by her loving and devoted daughter, Elizabeth (AJ) Catone of Latham and was predeceased by her brother, Raymond Smith Jr. and by a sister, Bernardine Smith. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Monday, June 8 at 10 a.m. at the Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna. There are no viewing hours.
