Bobby Joe Williams, 54, Waterloo, Ala., ended his battle with cancer Tuesday, April 23, 2002, at his mothers home in Tuscumbia.He is survived by his wife, Ann; son, Neil of Tuscaloosa; mother and stepfather, Jo and Jack Fisk; brother, David Williams of Tuscumbia; stepsister, Linda Fisk of Florence; special, special mother-in-law, Mary Staggs of Sheffield; aunt, nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his father, Lelon Williams.Bob wished to be cremated. There will be no visitation. A memorial service for him will be at a later date.Bob was a Vietnam veteran and a longtime member of Alcoholics Anonymous.The family would like to thank his caregivers, especially Dr. Terry Hart, for his support and counsel through the years. Bob especially appreciated the friendship and support of Roy Lee and Cathy McDonald.In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Bob Williams memory to your favorite charity, Hospice of the Shoals or the Vietnam Veterans Association.Arrangements were made by Colbert Memorial Chapel.
