DAVIS, BETTY JEANBetty Jean Davis, 83 of Gainesville, Fl. passed away on Monday April 7, 2008 in Gainesville. She was born October 15, 1924 in Muncie, Indiana. She moved to Gainesville in 1965. She was a homemaker and loved flowers and was a member of the Gainesville Garden Club and an active member of the Elks. She was preceded in death by her husband, Col. Gene Davis, and is survived by her two sons- Gregory Davis and Danny Davis, also her two granddaughters- Monica Carter and Michelle Philman, five great grandchildren- Krissy, Billy, Jordan, Kevin and Cameron, a sister- Dorothy Abercrombie, and a brother- Clyde Jester.
