Barbara S. Wood, 86, Bradenton, died June 11, 2003. She was born June 2, 1917, in Attleboro, Mass., and came to Manatee County in 1998 from North Attleboro, Mass. She was a member of the Business & Professional Women's Club and the Emblem Club, both in North Attleboro. She was a Roman Catholic. Survivors include daughters Susan McKinnon of Anna Maria and Tracy Strother of Deering, N.H.; sons Jay of Sausalito, Calif., Jeff of Sneek, Netherlands, and Jon of Branford, Conn.; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. No visitation is scheduled. The memorial service will be later in North Attleboro. Brown and Sons Funeral Home, 43rd Street Chapel, is in charge.
