WILLIAMS, ANNE COPPEDGE, died June 9, 2005 in Williamston, NC. Born in Spring Hope, NC to the late Robert Spencer Coppedge of Franklin County, NC, and Sarah Williams Wheless of Nash County, NC, on January 26, 1910, Mrs. Williams attended school in Nash County and graduated from the University of NC at Greensboro with a teaching degree. She taught in NC for several years. She later was employed at the Bank of Belmont in Charlotte, NC. In 1955 she was married to late O. F. (Bill) Williams. In June of 1957, they relocated to Orlando, FL, where she was employed as Payroll Clerk in the Orange County Comptroller's Office. A member of the First Baptist Church of Orlando, Mrs. Williams was fondly known as "The Pecan Lady" as she sold pecans to raise money for various church projects. In recent years, she resided at the NC Baptist Assisted Living Home in Hamilton. NC. She is survived by one niece, Fran McNeill, of Camarillo, CA; and one nephew, Sam Hocutt Jr. of Williamston, NC; two great nieces; two great nephews; four great- great nephews; five great-great nieces; one stepson, Jack N. Williams; three step-granddaughters, Sandra Hickey of Summerville, SC, Marcy Watson of Columbia, SC and Shelly Felder of Cornelius, NC; five step-great-grandchildren; two step-great-great grandsons. Graveside services will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, Orlando, FL, on Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at 11AM.
