WILLIS CLINTONDAVIS, 59Equipment Operator LAKELAND - Mr. Willis Clinton Davis, age 59, died of heart disease Saturday Sept. 6, 2008 . Born in Lakeland on Oct. 15, 1948, he was a lifelong resident. He was an equipment operator and a member of Trinity Pentecostal Church of God. He was a good and loving husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his father George Davis, and mother Bessie Davis. He is survived by his wife Betty A. Davis, Lakeland; sons Tony Elrod, Sr., Lakeland, Charles "Jeff" Elrod Sr., Ashville, N.C., Harold Elrod, Lakeland; daughter Barbara Faye Keller, Mulberry, TN.; brothers Bobby Davis, Dale Davis, both of Lakeland, George Davis, Umatilla, FL.; nephew Jim Slappey and his wife Shirley, Lakeland; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at Lanier Funeral Home chapel. Services will follow at 11 a.m. at Lanier Funeral Home chapel. Interment will be in Socrum Cemetery.
