WILLIAMS, Willie Scott, 70, of Ty Ty, Ga., died Friday, February 18, 2005, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, Albany, Ga. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday at Pine Hill Baptist Church. The Rev. Donnie Wright will officiate. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. Sunday at the church before the service. Rick Williams, Tom Williams, Mike Williams, Bennett Boyd, Shane Williams, Kevin Pope and Joe Boyd will serve as pallbearers. Mr. Williams was born July 18, 1934, in Worth County, Ga., to George C. Williams and Annie Cooper Williams, both deceased. Mr. Williams had lived in Tampa until June 1991 when he returned to Ty Ty. He retired from Anheuser-Busch in Tampa. He was a United States Air Force veteran and a member of Local Union #388 in Tampa. Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Annie Dorothy Newsom Williams of Ty Ty, Ga.; three sons and three daughters-in-law, Rick and Debra Williams, and Tom and Kathy Williams, all of Ty Ty, and Mike and Terrie Williams of Tampa; a sister and a brother-in-law, Jo Ann and Raydean Pitts of Ty Ty; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Building Fund of Pine Hill Baptist Church, 2884 Pine Hill Road, Ty Ty, GA 31795. Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors, Tiftarea Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
