William Preston "Billy" Keatts, 89, Dover, died Friday, Jan. 2, 2009, at Manor House of Dover. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Anglin Funeral Home with Larry Craig and Erik Yerger officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Indian Mound. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Anglin Funeral Home. Anglin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born Aug. 17, 1919, in Stewart County, TN, son of the late Elliott and Hettie Collins Keatts. Mr. Keatts was a farmer, worked for J.A. Reece Co. Construction and a member of Rose Valley Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife, Annie Gafford Keatts and a son, William E. Keatts. Survivors include his children, Sammy Keatts (Joan), Peggy Odom (Ray), Bonnie Shepherd (Maxwell), Darlene Crockarell (Ronald), all of Indian Mound, TN, Billy Ray Keatts (Wanda) and Dean Keatts (Patti), both of Clarksville, TN, June Wiggins (J.C.), Antioch, TN, Maxine Nabors, Murfreesboro, TN, Jerry Keatts (Sherry), Ft. Wayne, IN and Donna Welker, Dover, TN; brother, Marshall Keatts, Indian Mound, TN; 18 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
