ObituaryWilliam Howard Davis, 73, of Homosassa, died May 11, 2003, at Crystal River. Bill started his career in Indiana with his later father and soon moved to Ft. Myers where he continued in construction. He later moved to Lakeland where he changed careers becoming an automobile salesman. His new profession took him to Tampa and later to Ohio, Michigan, and finally to Atlanta where he retired with Mack Truck Corp specializing in Firefighting Apparatus. He was born March 20, 1930, in Jefferson, Indiana to Howard and Louise Davis, and was a member of the Methodist faith and Church of God. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Geraldine Lippincott Davis, Homosassa, three sons, William (Judy) Davis, II, Ft. Myers, Kenneth (Heidi) Davis, Great Falls, VA and Michael (Rose) Davis, Houston, TX; two daughters, Mary (Robert) Walden, Tampa and Rebecca (David) Hanley also of Tampa; one sister, Patricia Kidder of Daytona, FL; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
