PRUITT Virgil "Vic," age 70 of Ramsey, died Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Valley Hospital, Ridgewood. Vic was born in Pruitton, AL and had resided in Franklin Lakes before moving to Ramsey 36 years ago. He was a parishioner of St. Paul's R.C. Church, Ramsey and was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Prior to his retirement in 2008, Vic was a Postal Clerk with the Franklin Lakes Post Office for 25 years. Surviving is his wife of 45 years, Margaret "Peggy" (nee Sytsma) of Ramsey, his two sons, Victor Pruitt of Keller, TX and Dale Pruitt and his wife, Kristina of San Antonio, TX. Also surviving are his three grandchildren, Jeffrey, Kylee and Jackson Pruitt and two sisters, Willodean Grinnell of Loretto, TN and Helen Pruitt of Florence, AL and a brother Junior Pruitt of Lawrenceburg, TN. Visiting hours will be Sunday, January 18th from 2-5 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. For family and friends wishing to attend, a Prayer Service will be held on Monday, January 19th, 10 AM at the Funeral Home followed by a Graveside Service at 11 AM at Redeemer Cemetery, 90 Chapel Road, Mahwah, NJ 07430.
