FURNESS, THOMAS WILLIAM - The death of Thomas William Furness, loving husband of Marise (Ouellette) Furness of Hampton occurred on Friday February 23, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John he was the son of the late Thomas Gerald and Pearl Olive (Northrop) Furness. Tom graduated from UNB SJ in 1994 and worked at Centracare for 23 years. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Besides his loving wife Marise he is survived by his son Thomas William Furness of Hampton; daughter Melissa Jennifer Furness of Taipei, Taiwan; brother Charles Furness of Kingston Peninsula; sisters Lillian Logan (Joe) of Saint John, Jackie Lewis (Bill) of Saint John and Katherine Hood of London, Ontario; several nieces and nephews and many friends. Besides his parents he was predeceased by sister Mary O'Brien. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Monday 10 am -12pm. The funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Monday February 26, 2007 at 12 noon. Following cremation a private family interment will take place at a later date.
