Thomas Patrick Fadden III of Johnson City Thomas Patrick Fadden III, 57, of Johnson City, passed away Thursday evening, June 21, 2007, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his father, Thomas P. Fadden II. He is survived by his devoted wife of 25 years, Amy (Spencer) Fadden, Johnson City; his mother, Alberta Griffing, South Montrose, Pa.; his son, Thomas Patrick Fadden IV, Johnson City; and his stepson, Daniel Ball Jr., Rochester, N.Y.; two sisters, Ellen Kane, Kirkwood, N.Y., Kathleen Saunders, Tunkhannock, Pa.; two brothers, Robert Fadden, Pa., David Benniger, Montrose, Pa.; also several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many cousins. He was a lifetime member of St. James Church, Johnson City. He was a 1968 graduate of Montrose High School where he was a cross-country runner, and a graduate of Broome Community College. He had worked at Endicott-Johnson Corp., Rivermede Nursing Home, and NCI in Vestal. He had served in the US Army and the National Guard 204th Engineering Battalion in Binghamton. Tom enjoyed fishing and hunting. The family would like to express their gratitude and thanks for the excellent care he was given by all the staff of the 6th East Group of the VA Medical Center in Syracuse, N.Y. A Memorial Mass will be offered at St. James Church, Johnson City, Tuesday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Town of Dickinson. The family will receive friends at the church Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of services. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, 31 Adams Ave., Endicott, N.Y. 13760; or St. James Church Memorial Fund, 147 Main St., Johnson City, N.Y. 13790, in Thomas P. Fadden's memory. Arrangements are by the J.F. Rice Funeral Home, Inc., 150 Main St., Johnson City.
