April 27, 2003 Shirley Margaret Payne of 72 Eaton Street, Hamilton died Sunday at Community Memorial Hospital in Hamilton. Mrs. Payne was a retired Court Clerk for Oneida County for over 18 years retiring in 1993. Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Charles; their children, James B. of Lakeland Florida, John B. of Earlville, Janette Brower of Geneva and Jaclyn Morgan of Lakeland, Florida; her mother, Virginia Cruse of Lake Placid, Florida; her sisters, Maxine Jones of Englewood, Florida and Judith Rollins of Randallsville, NY; her brother, Max Crane of Lake Placid, Florida. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Eaton Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Tait Funeral Home, Inc., 2333 Fenner Road, Cazenovia. Contributions may be made to the Eaton Village Cemetery, PO Box 185, Eaton, New York.
