CANASTOTA >> Scott Bradley Davis, 33, of 608 Baywood Trail, Chesapeake, Va., and formerly of Canastota, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, at Maryview Hospital, Portsmith, Va.He was born on June 27, 1980, in Hamilton, a son of Bradley, Sr., and Renee DeFazio Davis.Scott grew up in Canastota, graduating from Canastota High School in 1999. While in high school he enjoyed wrestling, and was a member of the Mohawk Valley Wrestling Club. He later attended SUNY Delhi.He joined the US Navy in 2000, and was currently a Gas Turbine Systems Mechanic First Class, stationed aboard the USS Gonzalez (DDG-66) in Norfolk, Va.Scott was a member of the Freedom Hunters, and was a race car driver in the Virginia Sprint Series.Scott enjoyed hunting and racing cars.He married Cassandra J. Hullender on Nov. 22, 2011, in Virginia Beach, Va.Surviving besides his wife, Cassandra, are: two sons, Sean and Dylan Davis; his mother, Renee Davis of Canastota; one brother, Bradley, Jr., and Terri Davis of Oneida; two sisters, Michelle Hall of Oneida, and Jessica Aldrich of Canastota; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Scott was predeceased by his father, Bradley K. Davis, Sr.Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at St. Agatha's Church, Canastota, where a funeral mass will be held. Burial, with military honors, will be in Lenox Rural Cemetery, Canastota. Calling hours will be held on Friday, from 3-7 p.m. at the J. Homer Ball Funeral Home, Inc., 201 James St., Canastota, N.Y. 13032. In his memory, contributions may be made to a fund for his children, c/o Cassandra J.
