CEDAR BLUFF Ruth McDowell Martin, age 66, of Cedar Bluff, died June 18, 2008, at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. Graveside services were 2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 21, 2008, at Cedar Bluff Cemetery with Perry Funeral Home directing. Visitation was 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 20, 2008, at the funeral home.Survivors include her son, Frank Martin of Tuscaloosa; daughter, Annette (Mike) Parker of Southside; chosen sons, Jimmy Mize, Greg (Kelly) Elliott, Randall (Martha) Stancil, and Brent (Tonya and Mikgela) Elliott; parents, Helen and Frank McClendon of Gainesville, Mo.; brother, Bobby McClendon of Silsbee, Texas; grandchildren, Leslie Elliott and Kari (Matt) Parker; great grandchildren, Jordan and Erin Parker; in-laws, Pat Hart, Ann and Paul Morris, Peggy and Bo Martin, and Lenier Martin; and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband, Freck Martin; son, Jimbo Martin; father, Kenneth McDowell; sister-in-law, Darlene McClendon; brother-in-law, Tuffy Hart; sister-in-law, Becky Martin, and Mr. and Mrs. Earnest Martin.Mrs. Martin was a native of Arkansas, and retired from Cedar Bluff Manufacturing Company.
