WILLIAMS, ROBERTASTEPHENS, 70Roberta Stephens Williams, 70, a native of Alachua and Jonesville, moved back to her Florida roots after residing in Queens, New York for 40 years. She passed away on Friday, January 6, 2012 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her five children: Sandra Smith of Fort Stewart, GA; Steven Williams of Vecenza, Italy; Kenney Williams and Eva Williams, both of Jonesville, FL; Michelle Hagger of Flushing, New York; and 23 grandchildren, including a devoted and faithful granddaughter, Natisha Sylvester; 16 great-grandchildren; four sisters: Delores Douglas, May Arrington of Culver City, CA; Betty Stephens and Clementine King of Nashville, TN; two brothers: Roosevelt Stephens of Tampa, FL; and Claude Alfred Stephens of Tampa, FL; a devoted cousin, Shirley Irvin; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. The Celebration of Life will be conducted at Upper Room C.O.G.I.C., 3575 NE 15th St., Gainesville, FL 32609 on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. There will be a wake service on Friday, January 13th, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., also at Upper Room C.O.G.I.C.
