Anniston - Funeral services for Robert L. "Lee" Elder, 65, will be at noon on Saturday, November 30, 2013, at the Smith Metropolitan AME Zion Church with the pastor, the Reverend Jeffrey C. Williams officiating. Mr. Elder passed away on November 22, 2013 at Trinity Medical Center in Birmingham. Lee was a Class of 1966 member of Cobb Avenue High School. He was a faithful member of Smith Metropolitan AME Zion Church. He was a member of Easy Rider Motorcycle Club. He was one of Anniston's "best for less" Mechanics. Survivors include his wife, Leola Elder, of Anniston; children, Sharon Elder, of East Orange, NJ., Robert (Les) Elder, Jr., of Snellville, Ga., Marquis "Tate" Kirby, Schuretta "Red" Reyes, Montez Burns, Luntez Burns, all of Anniston and Andrenia Storey, of Chattanooga, Tenn.; step children, Kristina (Tony) Collins, of Covington, Ga., DeAnidra Burns, of Anniston, and Quiana Burns, of Jamica Plain, Mass., Roderick (Dierdre) Elder, of Lithonia, Ga.; siblings, Ocie (Carol) Elder, of Boston, Mass., Barry Elder of Clarksville, Tenn., Linda Elder of Atlanta, Ga., Sonya Elder, of Panama City, Fla. and Torra Elder, of Powder Springs, Ga.; twenty-four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; aunts, Leslie Dowers, of Baltimore, M., Pearlie Briskell of Wetumpka, and a faithful friend, Betty "BJ" Henry other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Robert and Bessie Elder; son, Raymond E. Elder; brothers, Clarence G. Elder and Billie E. Elder.
